Seems a little dumb to send out the 4.0 e-mail announcement to their customer base and then take the site offline immediately afterward. But maybe I'm missing something.
Maybe they found a bug or a security problem right after announcing the upgrade. edit: Hasn't hit the bittorrent networks yet. Kind of surprised.
It's not available yet: http://www.vbulletin.com/order/index.php Please note the mention of "presale" up there.
Great than u can sponsor my license new vbulletin looks awoseme.. gives a feeling of joomla too in thier CMS dont u think ?? in these screenshots specially http://files.vbulletin.com/images/cart/screenshots/article_inline.png http://files.vbulletin.com/images/cart/screenshots/section_inline.png
May be they copied source code of joomla who knows they have a totally new management and development team.
now the price jump to $200, it's very cheap for DP, but it's expensive while you are holding a small forum, looks bad after vb sold.
If you want to get technical, the price is $195 vs. the old price of $160. So yes, the price went up by $35. But you also have to remember you no longer need to pay $40/year for support and upgrades. That's included now for everyone for the life of vBulletin 4.x. So when factor that in, it's actually cheaper.
Maybe they are integrating the CMS on the homepage : alot of costumers have complained about the absence of any demo Even the Vb staff didnt gave real answers for some pre sale questions . Until now we dont know how is really a VB 4.0 (only few screenshots posted)
Yeah, someone might..the site was a warez site to begin with..so maybe an alpha tester leaked a copy. I smell nulled copy already
