It's brand new (literally uploaded everything yesterday) so yes there isn't much content, members, etc. yet.
Please just review & comment on layout, design, new suggestions, etc.

Your site is good. I suggest that you work more on the home page content and put more content. Also, amend the layout. The website above the fold looks good. You need to work on the website below the fold.

thanks for the comments :) homepage content will be updated & more included, probably going to import a JS feed of the latest articles/blogs for the homepage content or something of the sort.

Fun site - I hope you get lots of dog people to join up.

The only critique I want to offer (other than getting more content) is about the page headers. I love the home page header, and I also like the other header, but the page links make things a bit confusing when they switch. Perhaps have the home page with its current header and all the other pages with the secondary header. Better for consistency.

are you talking about the regular page navigation & the forum navigation ? I think I know what you mean, I can easily re-order them to match.

Yes, it is between the regular page and forum navigation, but when I'm in the forum and click on the Shop link, then I get the other header - and because I click on each tab - I get confused when the headers keep changing on me. My eyes cross and focus goes out of whack! :)

I see the problem now. On the home page, I click on Gallery and it takes me to the (I assume) Forum header, which is consistent with all the other pages EXCEPT when I click on SHOP or DONATE - then it takes me back to the home page header and throws me off. Part of that is because once I'm there, I have to go to the Back button to get back to the forum type pages - does this all make sense?

I love the site and hope you do great with it! It's just this little glitch that keeps 'getting me.' :)

Trying to re-create your problem.. not really sure what you mean...
went from home page and clicked on gallery.. there it takes you to the forum gallery page..
Click on shop/donate which is indeed a different header than the forum, on purpose, as it is not part of the forum.. once there I'm not sure why you would click back to get back to the forum pages as you could just click on "Forum" to go to the forum.. or "Gallery" to go back to the gallery?

    Thanks :)

For me, keeping the forum and the other pages separate would be helpful and less confusing. I'm one of those people who do hop around in a site, trying to see everything, so consistency in the headers helps me do that.

I'd probably suggest, since no one else seems to have this problem, to add Google Analytics to the site. That way, you could see where people go and what they do while there - and you could also then see if anyone else is as dyslexic as I am! :D

I do have google analytics registered to the site ;)

The only reason I don't have the header pages separate is that the pages such as shop considering going from the forum is so users can easily go to the shop without having to go from the forum back to the homepage just to go to the shop.... and articles considering going from the main page so users don't have to click on the forum just to then click on articles there to get to the articles..

I do see what you are saying however I personally believe it's more navigate-friendly this way and less clicking involved.
