Don't take it as your priority.. Use reputable company.. Like godaddy, namecheap... Price also affordable IMO..

I prefer Name.com, they have a nice user interface and free private whois.

    name.com
    namecheap.com
are the best in the industry. I do not like godaddy because it does not allow payment from a non verified paypal acc.

Please do remember that, in future if you wish to sell off your domain, people prefer these top registrars.
So, a cheap registrar is should be your last option in determining with whom you wish to register.

I like GoDaddy and namecheap.com ... Both are good

GoDaddy has better customer service and reasonable hosting with a free domain included

Yeah, although the price of Godaddy is cheaper, they don't offer free private whois.

Don't always think cheapest. They hit you with the extras later. Look who gives you the most with your domain purchase. For instant hostnhub (dot) com gives you a free sitebuilder, website, email, forwarding, blogcast, google adwords credit, domain locking, Total DNS contol, parked for sale page and alot more with every domain purchase. State of the art servers. Easy to use control panel. Your site is visible on the net in minutes if not seconds. Buy a few domains and they include private registration free. 24/7 support. Extra purchases and you can get domains for 1.99 It pays to look at the big picture. Others might draw you in with a cheap domain but are falling behind in technology as they are lining their pockets instead of upgrading their servers and programs.

I'll never use g*daddy again after they stole a domain off me. Our company is a branch of another. Our parent has over 3 million domains registered. We provide free locking to stop the theives. The bigger a company gets the more chance of having corrupt adminstraters. Stating a new company has no support is totally wrong. We have 24/7 support and your domain is visible in seconds. Every company started somewhere. You have to pay big bucks to even get a domain seen on Rip off daddy. Sure they have cheap domains. They hit you with all the extras to make up for it. Of course competitors don't like when the new companies offer way more with a domain purchase. We have to. We are not a well known name yet.

Some affiliate websites work for godaddy and you get support from godaddy, but cheaper than godaddy.

I think it is also a good idea to register with them.
