Obviously the first one is more SEO friendly coz the SE will easily notice your keyword.
But the ranking is depend on many factor not only keyword.

    Thanks. :)

Thanks. I know there is more to it, I was just wondering if I would be better off using a "-" to separate the two keywords rather then using just the one.

I have found that when I don't use the - between two words I get a better ranking.

I think it may depend upon your keywords. If the combination without the hyphen can be easily parsed into just the two words, you should be OK. Many times, a combined URL is susceptible of being parsed many ways. Sometimes it doesn't matter terribly - would the result be different if PetSmart was parsed as PetsMart? Probably not. But in some cases if the words is parsed wrong you might rank for the wrong terms. The hyphen should help.
