    dofollow links help in building backlinks which in turn help in improving your site's ranking in search results. If the page where you get your dofollow link has some PR then you also get a share of that PR too.

    I thought that nofollow link did not flow PR offcourse they allow traffic, is that correct

    If you dont want to use blog finder sites, then you just have to check each blog you go to and build up your own list

    Well, site promotion - if you announce that your blog has dofollow blog comment functionality, you may get some traffic to your blog from people wanting to get that dofollow link to their own sites... I've seen many bloggers use this approach to get started with a new blog.
