But the simple fact is, if you need more sweetness, you will have to add more sugar also. that means, if you need the no.1 rank, you will have to spend money in directories, you will have to improve your site each week, and will have to optimize it continuously, and tirelessly in a steady graph.

    its hard, others have mentioned good techniques but it really comes down to how much content you have for the keyword you want to rank for, if its unique, if others link to you, and how much time people spend on your site when they arrive on that keyword
