I have 2 blogs both adult in nature. One the I opened recently August to be exact which I bought a domain for set up ads for etc. Currently I receive 1500 uniques a day to the site and do very well from ad affialiates. The second also and adult niche is a blog I opened in 2006 and totally forgot about. I googled myself today and found it by accident. When I decided to sign into it to my astonishment it had a PR of 2. This site has no ads no domain name at all it is a blogspot blog. From doing some of the nets getinfo tools it seems the site even after being neglected for years gets about 556 hits daily. Now mi dilemna is what can I do with this old blog with a PR of 2 it is a great asset to me, but I just can't tranfer my domain over to it because it would then lose its PR rank right?
hmmm - what a terrible problem to have... 566 daily vistotrs and nothing to monetize them with Forget the PR balls - you got 566 eyeballs per day! Build on THAT and monetize THAT. What an awsome foundation to "start" with!
the thing is my newer blog gets 1,500 uniques a day. WOuld me posting my new sites link on my old blog with PR2 help me in anyway?
Sure - blogroll it and take some link juice from it - it may help your newer blogs SERPs a little bit. The truth is that a PR2 doesn't really mean much to anybody, let alone the search engines, but the trafffic CAN mean a lot to you. PR= hypothetical bullstuff Traffic = a real asset. Don't waste it on "maybe".
"WOuld me posting my new sites link on my old blog with PR2 help me in anyway?" Yes if people like the old blog they will link to it. Funnel as much passive traffic as you can from your sites.
