I think you mean feet, not miles? Maybe not... BTW, the only B52 I know of that ever dropped nukes did it by complete accident in 61' after running out of fuel and breaking up in mid-air.

I think he has the B-29 and atom bomb's confused with modern day aviation and Nuclear Missiles.

Thing is, either the text books his part of the world teach this altered state of reality, or he, like so many here are pre-pubescent pissed off rich white teenagers living in suburbia with nothing better to do than post stupid shit here.

The big deal is that B52's cruise around 48,000 feet, not MILES, which you seem to think.

Also, you seem to think that we just run around dropping nuclear bombs out of B52's, which is utter nonsense. In any event, none of our nuclear delivery systems are dependent on aircraft.

The B52 was indeed originally built to carry nuclear weapons as a Cold War era deterrent. It achieved that goal, and we're all the better because of it. At the moment its used as long range bomber, not a nuclear delivery system. To the best of my knowledge, and actual history the B52 has only ever dropped conventional munitions in actual combat.

    can you read
and of-course it is feet, not miles!

that is what many of you wish ..intimidating others with your nuclear stock and than preaching to not make nukes

b-29 dropped the bomb and b-52 was also from the same line of bombers.

Can you? Go re-read your own post:

It's not about intimidation. Its about keeping peace.

What? The B52 was not built until 10 years after the war ended. The bomber was built as a deterrent, not as a threat.

yeah, keeping peace for my own-self by intimidating others

what ? are we discussing aviation history here, who cares when b-52 was made
and believing that 'The bomber was built as a deterrent, not as a threat" is just a matter of prescriptive
