internetjimmy, dcristo is right, there is no one 'best' affiliate program.

If there was and people posted it on public forums, everyone would be doing it and it would no longer work for anyone.

Best thing is to do some keyword research to find a profitable niche that isn't too competitive (for starters) then find affiliate programs that compliment the niche. Google things like: How to pick your 1st affiliate niche and you should find some blog posts and articles that explain how to do it.

Just work your way into finding a niche and then monetize it through ads which fit the content. It will take time.

 

How much time is typical once you find a niche to actually make money on it? Is this process one that will take weeks or months?

 

How long is a peice of string? It depends on many factors, such as your marketing skills and promotion methods. If using PPC you can be generating traffic in a matter of minutes, but most newbies will lose money with it at the beginning. Organic seo will take longer to generate traffic, but the risk is less.

If you are a noob you want to promote products in a niche that you are interested/know a lot about.

 

So content does count then? I see so many clickbank sites that seem to look ugly and have virtually no content that is worth while. Are these sites set up this way on purpose, is it just a way to get more links to another page you are actually getting a lot of traffic to.

Promotion is the hardest part. Finding a system that works that has yet to be diluted by other promoters. Really that is the key. You have to find your niche and then figure out how to promote it successfully. I have yet to figure out the promotion thing. But, Im clearly open to others who might have a idea on how to get started. Right now all i do is build up content on my blog to get it ranked and start recieving search engine traffic.

 

You should start with AMAZON,get free website and after you will learn how to generate traffic you can move up to something else and build your own site.

 

Go to Clickbank and click on the Market Place link. You will find a list of catagories. Just pick the catagorie that best fits your niche and choose a product or service with a percentage affiliate payout of at least 50% and the higher gravity numbers (usually lists the highest gravities first).

An example: You click on Marketing & Ads. It then shows you all the programs listed. The first one is: 1) George Brown's Google Sniper System - Up To $5.34 Per Click. The %/sale is 50% (you get 50% of what the customer pays Clickbank) and the grav: is 616.06 (very high) which shows the popularity. That's one I would pick (even though if it was a higher percentage and a little lower on gravity then that's what I'd choose).

 

I feel Hydra, Affiliateer.com and CPAempire are good affiliate network to start.

 

I think you should begin with get paid to download affiliates like sharecash, hotfile etc. Post your interesting download links in youtube or huge traffic forum and enjoy the moolah coming in...
