What? I'm a magnificent designer! haha j/k BTW, I added a "Top 0.1%"... anyone that would be in it will have it show in an hour (the badges are not recreated every http request).
The Alt attribute is showing "Domain Web Hosting" now, why not have a simple (and static) "Webmaster and SEO Forum" as alternative text? All the rest are misleading IMO.
red is opposite of green and they make each other more visible . but it bother eyes when you use the exact opposite without an edge just put yourself in the shoes of your community member's then design
Nice feature (and linkbait ) but I agree with the earlier poster. Perhaps you could do a design contest on this forum.
Shawn, I'm thinking about making an alternative style to the banner, do you have the PSD file of the logo?
Shawn, you mentioned HTML standards when trying to find a solution for Premium Members' topic highlighting in BST, but the badge HTML code is screaming out errors. alt="whatever", the "alt" tag doesn't belong in the <a> tag. title="Whatever" should be used in the <a> tag. The <img> is missing: - A self close eg: <span></span> would be <span /> - Height and Width Attributes - An alt="whatever" attribute and finally, the closing <a/> tag is incorrectly closed, should be: </a> --- Real sorry to point those out. My guess is that you were tired when knocking up the code.
If it's really decent and nice I don't see why it shouldn't be added. But you can't expect Shawn to put it up just because you made it for him, it has to pass some standards. If it's really good & not anything tacky, most likely you're not wasting your time. But I'm not Shawn, so I don't really know for sure. Hahaha, just noticed. Shawn must've been really sleepy. Edit - (But I could have sworn the alt tag was within the <img > tag the first time I looked at that page earlier today.. )
Another suggestion would be to have the image actually link to the user profile. I assume a user would want to showcase this. Yes, the user can change the HTML manually, but not everyone knows that. Could just make this an option. Perhaps also showing the latest thread created by the user would allow for the badge to actually show something useful (outside of digitalpoint I don't think many people care about the nr of posts you have or if you're a premium member)
.psd? The pen tool never hurt anyone Figured I'd knock up a quick little graphic: *Shrug* .psd is available if you want. I guess it could be a little better seeing as my attempt doesn't support long usernames, but it's something to work on.
I love it thank you but can users give me examples where can i use it and if any one can steal my badge ?
What do you mean by steal your badge ?? He/She can't do anything with that so no worries about that. BTW you can use it at your sites, blogs and in signature of other forums where image allowed in signature. DON.
