You can now get an RSS feed for a specific user by visiting their profile and subscribing to the RSS feed (you will have the normal forum RSS feed as well as a user specific one) in case you want to monitor threads started by a user. For example this would be mine: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/external.php?type=RSS2&u=1 You can also specify unique forum IDs for that user (just like a normal RSS feed) like so: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/external.php?type=RSS2&u=1&forumids=3,4,10
Thanks, that will be very useful, Can we have the threads started by the user appear on the UserCP under subscribed threads?
Great feature, I can give the RSS link to my regular customers Great to see the improvements (recently)
Can we visit the RSS link directly? Is it supposed to look like this? http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/7725/dpp.gif (Or is it something to do with my Chrome browser?)
Yeah you can visit it directly... Looks like Chrome is maybe sucking. Does it do that for other people's RSS feed when you try, or just yours?
Great stuff, though I think you're missing some headers since it's not automatically opening in my RSS reader and just displays the source in the browser.
I just double checked and Content-Type header is coming through as Content-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8 as expected. What browser are you using? I could try forcing application/rss+xml to see what happens.
I don't think it's anything to with the DP feed. Try blogger feeds and its the same. I am starting to realize that chrome is a crap browser. Even DMR doesn't work with it among other things.
I'm using camino (firefox for mac) - Anyway, I just noticed it's also happening with the normal RSS feeds here if I access them directly. (not via the browser toolbar button) so it's something about this browser most likely.
Umm tried looking at my user specific rss feed http://forums.digitalpoint.com/external.php?type=RSS2&u=140074 Nothing shows up.. Am i missing something ?
