I don't see where is the problem here .. Google always updates the serp ... and usually before a major PR update, links are updated (talking about link:www.yoursite dot com)
For those of you saying that it's obvious google updates the serps, these guys aren't talking about the normal shuffle their talking about a possible massive shuffle linked to the caffeine update. It's just people making observations. I've personally seen some big serp changes on my portfolio myself ,the types I haven't seen for around a good 2-3 years. Of course some sites have remained the same but if you have enough sites you'll see some big swings over the last few weeks.
I am seeing some fluxing but nothing major like it was a few weeks back. This started Friday afternoon.
Well, something is going on. My main website has been moved from page 1 to page 5 in the search results, even though I update it every day with good and relevant content. It's like I am getting punished for adding to much new content. It's bizarre. No new link exchanges either so it can't be that.
I am noticing my newer sites dropping and older sites gaining...Wnder if Google is starting to put more weight on domain age?
One of my site went from no 4 to no 1 for a day but went down to no 2.well atleast there is an improvement as people usually open the number one and two sites
I reported eralier that I am seeing an update. It seems to have settled for the time being.. This was beyond the normal flux that happens every day.
Same happened to my site. I ranked very well with alot of keywords for different pages untill sunday midnight. All pages seems to be still indexed but they don't appear in the search results anymore. There are only a few pages left still in good position. It doesn't look like a regular update, seems more like a major one. Please let us know if any of your sites come back and what you have done for it.
