Image Visual search engine

    And yet another SE hits the web. A while back we launched http://slidetheweb.com and after some initial problems its up and running.

    Goal of the site is to get search results shown in full screen with a clickthrough to the original site. As we're busy indexing sites it is good time to get some feedback on the idea, usage and site.

    Quick question - are you in testing or is this finally in production? I'm assuming testing?

    This one is in production.
    The slider mechanisme is fully functional though the multiphrase search algoritm tends to buckle up now and then.

    Nah thats not the JS. Its either the dbase backend or the remote loading of the image although most sites in the index serve fast.

    Existing single keywords should come up fast. For non-existing keywords and multiphrase keywords it still searches to long. We are trying to optimize the backend for this.
