Google's Quarter 3 profits have soared to $1.64 billion after revenues rose to $5.94 billion. Most of the revenue coming from Google Adwords, of course.

    Times of London report.

The really interesting piece of data is that pay per click volume rose 14%, whilst revenue per click fell 6%. After several years of cost per click rises its good to see a reverse in this area.

Google basically own the world right now. Since everything revolves around the internet, Google own the internet search section - which is where every web user starts their day.

From this base point they can do anything they want. They have already started cracking into the software market and soon they will have an os that will rival windows. At this point we will see a huge shift and within a short space of time companies like yahoo and microsoft will cease to exist and any websites that google see's as a valuable asset wil be bought by google.

It makes business sense for google to buy the companies that they pay the most advertising revenue to, this will lower their overall costs and they will easily get back any investment within a couple of years.

It doesn't sound so good anymore... I think Google has too much weapons in their hands now, and they can do whatever they want. I'm afraid that hundreds or even thousands of companies will bankrupt within next few years because of Google.

I'm not going to deny that google services are good. Despite how good they are, for years I have read complaints on forums, blogs, etc about google adwords, adsense, etc. What surprises me with all this documented complaints on the net that someone with the capital (msn, yahoo, etc) has not created a viable option to google services. These complaints are documented everywhere so research for what the consumer wants should not be an excuse. Either google;s competition is incompetent or they don't have the brain power to offer something as good or better than google.
