This is really contrary to earlier reports that say online advertising has been dwindling. With more profits, Google may acquire more startup web companies.

Google is taking a larger percentage of Adsense revenue, cracking down on paid links so that they control the online advertising market, and stealing marketshare from other search engines. Not really what I would consider "good news" for the average webmaster.

    Interesting...

I just was browsing and found this...

    QUOTE

Raj Rajaratnam, a portfolio manager for Galleon Group, a hedge fund with up to $7 billion in assets under management,
was accused of conspiring with others to use insider information to trade securities in several publicly traded
    companies, including Google Inc.

Maybe they are worth more? or maybe less...

    thx

Ok, I think I found an answer to my question about their earnings breakdown.

I found this at the following page (can't post links yet).
    investor.google.com/releases/2009Q2_google_earnings.html

This data is from Q2 2009.
