I'm a bit confused. Nothing new there but today I checked a couple of my sites and there are public service ads in place of the regular ads that have been in place for months. My content hasn't changed so why aren't Google serving leigitmate AdSense ads? I understand that AdSense is content sensitive but if the content hasn't changed, why have the ads?
Hey Mike, I am so sorry to hear this. Please send me the details. I will look into the site and will get back to you with my feedback. Regards Mirainfo
Is your blocked list full? Is there sufficient content to generate ads? I have seen a lot of PSAs showing up in different websites from time to time, and it could be that advertisers are shutting off their campaigns at certain times and therefore no alternative adverts available and PSA gets displayed.
Mike, if your site is the one in your profile, I don't see any ads on your home page and the ads on the internal pages look fine. Is there something else I should be looking at?
Hi guys, Thanks for the responses. I've just gone back to the main site, Mirainfo, and it seems to be serving ads again correctly so panic over but it does seem odd. In answer to your question, Ganceann, I've not blocked any competitor ads and the sites previously had sufficient content to serve up ads which is why I found it odd. Your theory about advertisers shutting off their campaigns would make sense, though. Does anyone else ever suffer from this?
Hi Stackman, No the sites in question aren't the one in the profile. I went straight there to make sure as soon as I noticed the problem! I've not got ads on the home page as I feel that I'd rather let the reader have a look through the site first before getting them to click away to someone elses site even if I do earn money from it! Cheers, Mike
