the answer here is obvious we promote more then one product so we can make more money.
CB is good because you can find there lots and lots of different products and the payment system functions perfect. Good pages to see statistics of the products etc. Hopefully this helps you :)

To make more money as said and because you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket. You want multiple income streams.

    Just testing things out..

On some products you may have to do pure slavery to earn a few bucks, while others might bring you steady amounts of cash while working a lot less. It's all about conversion and how profitable a niche is. You can only find that out by testing several products.

Thanks guys, it makes a lot of sense what you say!
Once we find a way that works, we add products, isn't it?
So, let's make it work! Let's not give up but find the way through the "jungle"! :)

Clickbank also is very good when it comes to timely payments and you don't have to limit yourself. You can develop a product and sell it there too!

Clickbank is very useful for affiliates and those who sell products because it is reliable.
Nevertheless we have to find out, through error and trial, what products make us money, but it is obvious that money can be made.

How do you choose your second (3rd etc) product? Similar to the first one? Same niche or very different? Why?

We promote as many prodcts as possible to target all kind of consmers . Different consmer needs demand different prodcts so when we promote more than one prodct , we get more than one stream of income .

At what pace do you introduce new products? Monthly? As ideas come?

I think to some extent you can "build up your repertoire" because once you have something set up, you decide either to try to activate/expand it more (more SEO, more articles, whatever) or to leave it alone, in which case you can try something new and still have the former one(s) as well ... and you end up with a collection a products, maybe even promoted in different ways, to which you add.

I still have a high-gravity product being promoted from before I learned that that's a pretty poor idea for most affiliates. No point in "taking it away" because I put quite a lot of work into it, to set it up, and it does still bring in the occasional sale (nothing that was worth the work I did, really, but better than no sales at all, obviously).

Once you have a hosting account, it doesn't cost anything to "keep stuff going", does it?

Its automated mechanism for paying affiliates separately from vendors, and pretty promptly, for me. Without that, I'd have abandoned Clickbank a long time ago. But that's the area in which they don't have a lot of competition. That, and the fact that some products are really easy to promote (once you learn how to choose the right ones, which is a real learning curve and one with an enormous amount of misinformation around), are what keep me there, in spite of all their ludicrous failings and horrendous mismanagement. Once you learn how to do it, the money's good, in other words.

I'll say again what I've said before: if someone with the right knowledge, skills and backing (not so easy, that part) were to set up a direct competitor to Clickbank, based on exactly the same business model, and avoid most of the longstanding Clickbank screw-ups, it could still be one of the biggest business success-stories ever. People say the market's "saturated" but it isn't at all: it's enormous and growing, and the tiny parts of it that are "saturated" are saturated only by incompetently run businesses. ;)

Will you put all eggs in one basket?
    The reason is the same.

Thanks a lot Alexa. It sounds like your first product was when you learned the trade, "your apprenticeship" ... and it even pays you a little every now and then! I am serving my apprenticeship now ... :)
It is encouraging to hear that there is light at the end of the tunnel!
