Wordpress redirect plugin

Ok first off I tried Redirection plugin and could not figure it out.....so all I want to do is change the permalink on my blog posts for example

I want to move this post
http://www.coolmodifiedcars.com/​the-special-edition-trd-toyota-scion-tc-rs-50​/
to here
http://www.coolmodifiedcars.com/scion-tc-trd/

how do I accomplish this in the simplest way? I have lost of links to the original location so I want to make use of a 301 to pass all the juice!

 

You want to add redirect or change permalinks?
Here are methods for both:
1. Redirects: Redirection plugin can do it for you. If you do not find that easy, let me do this for you(this is not a sales pitch, I just want to help. Price: $0.00!)
2. Changing Permalinks: Go to Posts -> Edit and edit the post whose permalink has to be changed. Below title, look for permalink, click change and enter anything you would like. Save post, permalink changed!

Simple to do it.

Just login in your account and click in left sidebar on Setting options.

There will be a menu list , At the end of the list you will find Permalinks click on that.

After that you seen on your page , there are few option to create your page style.

Select according to your chose. And click on save button.

After that you will get a Code in bottom you have to copy that cod and past in to .htacess file at your root directory.

Than you see that your page will open with your page title.

had any problem with Redirection plugin? It is very simple to use. you need to add the urls via Tools > redirection and it will be 301 redirected.

 

This is exactly what I did and it did not work!

 

Found one that works! Simple 301 Redirects kicks butt!

 

redirection plugin , it is easy to use and u can set 301 url without any experience.
