    Dear Friends,

I am new to this forum I want to ask few questions about domain.

    1. I want to buy a domain of my choice but it is not available in (.com) or (.net) it is available in .org, my question is that is (.org) in the place of .com or .net domain effect google ranking? or impression on visitors. Because one of my friend says that (.com) domain make good impression to visitors.

    2. My second question is if I buy a domain and hosting and my domain and hosting provider which lives is in my area provide me user and password for that domain and then I immediately change the password from cpanel. Then is it possible for him to change my password in future?

Best regard's and thanks in advance for replying....

According to my View If you buy the hosting to XYZ company that he have all rights to against you because your domain is hosting there server and hi have full control in his work.

And don't get confuse with .com .org just buy it and work on that you will get the same results of other .com sites.

It is not an issue for Google.

Hope you have find a good answer here.

    Thanks

dude if u register a domain u have full control on it :)

but make sure u register with a reputed registrar like name , namecheap ,godaddy etc

hosting is different dont register domain with your hosting provider because it always have bad effects while domain transfer etc cases

I think you need not to worry about this. You'd choose a trustworthy company to cooperate. For domain name, you
can choose godaddy.com.This is business cooperation, and you should trust your partnership.

Yes that can happen but with good companies it usually doesn't. I registered a domain name at startlogic last year and then after 60 days I trasferred it to my namecheap account and I didn't have any problems. It took the regular business days that it takes for a domain to be transferred.

.org is typically reserved for not-for-profit institutions so I wouldn't use it if you were going to make a commercial site. Just get creative with the .com name or go on a site like sedo.com and try to acquire a premium name.

Register your domain with a third-party like GoDaddy and setup your own hosting. Follow this advice and you should haven't any issues.

You can buy from any company you want but you may want to consider the reputable ones like Hostgator, Lunarpages, Bluehost and Fatcow. Those companies are selling "shared hosting" for a cheap price.

Shared hosting is the first step if you want to test the waters. If your site goes big, move to a VPS then if it gets bigger, then go for a dedicated server. =D

.com is handy if your also aiming for the browser keyword redirect though. Type in 'cola' when your in the states and it pops up the cola.com site by default. Here in holland we get cola.nl by default. Think they added that localisation feature a few months back.

Besides .com the net biz and tv do well for the newbie surfers. Com is well established but many surfers dont look at that to much before clicking to your site.

Also with some phrases you can get more brandrecognition by connecting the extention as part of your keyword or phrase like holiday.in

As for registering and hosting at the same company. Why would that be a problem i'm thinking. If the company screws that up they may as well screw either of two up at one point. A .com domainname is linked to you by your email address (to receive transfer EPP keys) which the domainname registrar or reseller can update at will. If you are really worried about getting your name hijacked then maybe a whois monitor service gives you some ease of mind on that matter.
