Why is Social Bookmarking prohibited

    Guys here oftern mention social bookmarking when disscussing something such
    as how to get more traffic.

    Because it's against the TOS of social bookmarking sites to sell your 'friendship' as it were. DP doesn't want to promote people like me that cheat at social sites. It sets a bad example and encourages people to be naughty.

    Here's the actual rule (you made me want to go, re-read it)

    Stumbles / Diggs / Social Bookmarking / Social Networking - No buying or selling of services; no exchanges; no freebies. (This also includes microblogging services like Twitter, Tumblr, Spoink, etc. or any other social network).

    Can't exchange social booksmarks etc, however feel free to discuss them. Ask a mod if you have any other questions.

    in some countrys such as china and north korea for example, its banned to stop the citizens saying bad things about the goverment :( for example facebook is banned, twitter is banned, myspace etc.. all banned

    Wow I didn't know that. I've read that myspace, facebook, twitter are worth around a billion each. Just imagine if they could tap into the Asian country's ... social networking = now and the future ... amazing amazing amazing

    yeah there is i think a billion people in china, i know that freindster dot com does really well in asia in the phillapenes and stuff, malasia thailand etc..

    all social networks are worth billions, look at the sale of youtube to google for example :D
