yahoo answer link posting

I am in doubt whether Yahoo answers allows links to be posted or not, i have seen many posts where direct links are placed,and when i tried those links do not appear in html format

 

You need to be level 2 for html to be enabled.

if you try to spam on yahoo so they will ban your id and your site url also

 

First you should participate in a certain number of posts to get enabled.

 

They changed the rules - you cannot post links until you reach level 2.

 

Smart move by Yahoo, there would be so much spam otherwise!

 

Links on yahoo answers are nofollow.

 

They allowed links for the longest time. The change was recent. Doesn't matter that they are nofollow because the answer pages rank very well and are a good traffic source.

 

Yes, I agree - look at how often a yahoo answers topic will come up in a google search. I reckon that trying to post links to your own site is both hard work and risky.

 

If you are at Level 2 or more your link will be fine as long as it is relevant to the question asked. You do not want to put a link for a weight loss site for example if the question asked is about music.

But always use a language which is not promotional otherwise you can be banned for doing promotion there.

 

I am sure that Yahoo answer links are no follow! Besides, they require u to reach some level before u can post a link!

 

i think yahoo answer also requires you to reach certain amounts of votes for your answers to make it the best answer and after that you can start posting your links, not sure though... i am not using yahoo answer...

 

links at yanswers get you banned sometimes

 

1. You should be at level 2 to make your link appear in htmal format.
2. For gaining level 2 you should have atleast 250 points
3. I agree yahoo answers are no follow but its a tremendous source of getting TARGETED visitors.

Does this not have to be "best answer" in order to get a point or points? If not do you not get anything in terms of points? I have found this to be a trememendous amount of time expended to get questions that have my area of expertise and then to write the "best answer" or has that also changed recently?
