PR5 site wants to trade links with me but...

He got like 300 inlinks on his homepage which is a PR5. And 5 outgoing links. Is the trade worth it? Also he only gets like 500 unique visitors a day where as my site is a PR4 with 4k a day.

Would this be a good trade? The sites are relevant, but I'm afraid I'm not going to get any juice from the homepage with so many inlinks.

If the site is quite relevant or of similar niche there are chances that the traffic will be diverted to their site and it will difficult for you to retain visitors. Just my thought.

make sure its a genuine PR5 too, last week we got an email from some joker who had set up a special link exchange site with fake PR.

Also check to make sure its not a "recently dropped domain" (search for any PR within site) to make sure.

If its relevant topic niche and can send you traffic then you may want to not worry about PR and think of sales ;)

And this question should be elsewhere not here...

    thx

If the sites are similar he could drag your traffic to his site by having you name on it!

Why are you worried about link juice? Given the fact that therei s nothing to lose from an incoming link, I would say go for it, especially if your site is of very low PR. good trade.

Youmust be doing something very right with 4k Unique traffic per day, compared to his 500.

In your situation (based on my own assumption), I won't be bothered with a link exchange, instead work on creating more link baits, distance yourself from your competitors.

It is never about the PR, but the SERPs. Maybe you can work out a deal to have your link on his homepage, and his on one of your more popular internal pages, citing the quality traffic as the difference.

PR is much easier to gain than SERPs

In the situation above I would not trade links.
