I am not sure but it seems its using google API search. Same order for some keywords

 

You can go back and edit your original post and fix the link.

You search engine looks okay but I would fix the graphic to something more universal, and I'd dump the facebook plug because it makes the site look like it's not independent.

How does one market against the existing players?

With all of the available api's and xml's floating around these days, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a little of each .. the site does draw xml from s3.amazonaws.com and is on shared hosting in San Antonio Texas. The site is the darling of the AZS Media Group (http://azsmediagroup.com/) located in the Netherlands.

Regardless of the api or the xml it may be using, the site, Imhalal.com, is pretty popular in Pakistan, India, and Turkey.

Muslims do ..

It may come as quite a surprise to most out here in the wild, wild west, that Muslims, by and large, are pretty peaceful people.

The only "two" filtering configurations I saw in the script, was "hate" and "Porn" ...

Wow .. I think Google even filters those very same things .. who would'a thunk? ..

 

Trying some of my own keywords seems to suggest the opposite. I know for 'drmike' I'm 10 pages back and still haven't seen my blog but yet I'm #3 on a google search.

Now .. if we could just convince them to supply a name for their crawler (if in fact they are even using one) so that I can edit my .htaccess to allow ip's from AWS and the cloud.ips out of San Antonio ..

 

Hmz their website looks cool but the search results aren`t relevant. Also "Halal" in hungarian means death.

I`m sure this site won`t survive very much.
