if you are planning to install windows on macbook then i don't suggest buying a macbook

though it won't create any problems .. but it destroys the whole purpose of buying a macbook

BootCamp, VMWare, Parallel, Crossover... are a few softwares that allow you to run PC stuff on Mac without a sweat. So it's very possible. :)

You only need stuff like Parallel or BootCamp if you want to run Windows and Mac OS X at the same time. You can install any OS on Mac hardware that you could install on any PC... Linux, SUSE, Windows, etc.

But truthfully, don't get a MacBook Air to put Windows on it. It's like buying a Ferrari and then putting Volkswagen engine in it. Sure, you *can* do it... but why?

Yes, it is possible.. but beats the sense of buying a Mac in the first place.

A Mac was never designed to run Windows OS on it.

Actually, it IS designed to run Windows stuff on it. One of the main reasons why Mac's a very popular.

The main purpose of buying a MacBook Air should be to work on MAC OS. But if you want to run Windows , you can install it and run Windows stuff on a MacBook Air with no problem.
