Why don't ask your queries and get your doubts clarified? That would be crucial for others to help you in a better way.
You have to understand that your website is just one part of the puzzle, the rest of the jigsaw are the other web 2.0 tools you use to get people to your site. We call this your web presence, and it includes, websites, facebook profiles, blogs, youtube, twitter and myspace. Once you have built your web presence, you then start to push it up up the google rankings until you hit the top ten - now you have quality traffic, looking for something you offer, and finding your site. But, before you put any of the above into place you need to decide whet you are offering, identify the keywords people use when looking for it, and build your web presence so it is optimised for those keywords. Wow - that takes me over an hour to explain to clients lol
its very simple....... contract with Madona or britney spears, shoot an ad campaign about your website and pay of publishing on the TV.
there are many many ways to promote your site and get people to visit your site. some methods of promoting require spending money, but some are free. and for a beginner like us its always better to do free ways, because not only it will help the traffic, it also lets you learn as you go and understand how it works, which in the long term its much better. where as you pay someone to do it or pay for advertising, your not going to learn anything. you can use free press releases, submit your site to directories, write article and submit to article directories and social networking. what you doing here is one of those ways, using forums to let others know about your site. but one thing to keep in mind is that you have to be patient. you cant setup a site/blog and expect to get hundreds of visitors over night. little by little by doing these promotions and link building, you will get there. good luck.
myspace, twitter, craigslist, facebook, friendster, forums, free pree release sites, theres a ton of ways to promote for free if you look and tap into them.
I've used Facebook, Twitter and even online games to promote a few websites successfully. Just depends on what your niche is and whether or not the people who are in your social network are interested in it.
The first thing you are going to need with marketing your website is patience. Web marketing is both a natural and forced action meaning that you will naturally get publisity if your content is good. Forced is when you start displaying advertisments getting your brand out there. Although there are many ways to market your website, depending on your niche can determine diffrent areas to advertise on. If you a game website ( not saying you do) but you could advertise and market it in more ways then lets say a gambling website. The most common ways I and others market there website are as follows but is not limited too. Social networking - this is a good because you can read peoples profiles and add friends who have similar interest to you and market your content to them. PPC Advertsing - Not cheap but gets you targeted visitors ( usually ) Bookmarking - Digg, Stumble and others are good ways to say hey we have new content come look at it. Word of mouth - tell everyone about your website. Directories - You may have to pay but they come with many rewards a high quaility and trusted link among getting free traffic. Make tools -I have to admit if you are not savvy with programming this can be a little complicated unless you hire a programmer but you have a tool that you offer individuals to use for free, you recieve a back link and get people using your content even when they are not on your site. Create and submit articles - Submit your articles to free article companies they often give you a free backlink to your site as well as adding links throughout the article this is good for advertising your own site as well as affiliate marketing. This isn't everything you can do but does cover a lot of what is most effective. Some are cheaper but some are more expensive to do, but remember you have to spend money to make money.
first review your website business, competitior promotion work, make changes in every page as per key phrase and promote your site content across internet
Your question may quite simple, but single thread is not enough to explain all promotion methods. So better you can surf on net to know more details. do concentrate on your on page optimization first, before enter into site promotion.
Get your URL sign written onto your cars back windscreen, or all over it, works for us, heres a pic of our bus, if you can add something that stands out and makes people look then even better
Content is the king.Make your contents and the urls to be seo friendly and do fix the proper meta tag for your site to promote.
Do proper onpage optimization for your site. Focus your keywords and placed it on title tag. Then you can do social book marking, article submission, forum participation, blog commenting and so on.
I agreed with joelchrist...as for traffic you can participate in Social Networking sites and increase your group.
