I would be interested in doing this can anyone confirm that Google will not penalize me for doing this?
Yahoo's only picking up 3 links with that anchor text so far. The rest of your backlinks are so poor quality and unrelated that I doubt you'll rank for that keyword long; http://classic.linkdiagnosis.com/?q=http://www.crazyfunk.com
Will have to wait and see, at one stage yahoo had all the links included but then the next day most dissapeared. It is a bit of a worry. Anyway thats the point of the experiment to see whether its worth the money or not . I think after a month we will have a pretty good idea. Thanks for all the feedback guys.
Akdiver: Well I for one appreciate this experiment even if it is for some non-money word like crazy news. In fact, it's better not to choose a money word so you don't have to wait around for months for results to show. Please keep us updated. cheers
Thanks emigre I appreciate the vote of confidence. I think for $20/mth you would be unlikely to rank well for lose weight, forex and the like. And this key word has a fair few searcheds that would appreciate the site so it allows for a good example. Anyway 1 week has come and gone and here are the results. Backlinks: 1502 ( up by 1155) Google SERP: 12 ( up by 78) Visitors from SE for "crazy news": 9 (up by 8) So pretty promising results so far. You can view the full post on my blog here.
I would love to see what some of these link pages look like that you got from cyberlinkpro. Also I would like to see if you stopped the service what happens to your rankings, this would help determine if they really helped or not.
The blog I was testing on lost its data unfortunately. You can view the full details of the experiment here. @ cyoung that is a really clever idea. I cant believe I didnt think of it. I will implement that at the end of the experiment.
interesting so far..not alot of traffic though so results may be skewered a little by something.any signs of making the $20 investment back from the backlinks?
Also 2nd week update Bing up by 4 spots Google down by 11 spots Extra 6 visitors for my search term extra 110 inlinks ( I assume from having the articles republished) Bit dissapointing this week.
akdiver, thanks for this experiment, i have just seen your post and read it. I hope you make your investment back and also please keep us updated on how it goes on.. Oh, and one more thing, crazy news does not get 18,000 searches per month.. That is the broad search, which is worthless.. According to adwords the exact number of searches is around 5-6k..
appreciate the feedback dejanlesi, I cant believe I was looking at the broad search term . It is still 6K exact so not too bad. Sufficient for this experiment anyways...
Sounds like the service could be good so thanks for sharing. I have two questions. How many links do they put on each article? Only yours or twenty other peoples? Also, are all of the links from different domains/i.p's, or are they all the same?
I sent them an email asking the same question. They wrote back and say a maximum of 12 links per page. Although most of the pages I have looked at have between 1-3 links. As for the domains/ip's there is over 1000 different websites/ips but each site has many articles so you could double up there.
So - let me get this straight. . . You're building every single link with the words 'crazy news'? Or are you varying the anchor text?
this is interesting. You said that you went down on google, does this mean that google cough on to what you are doing?
The site has moved back up in google. I think the algorytm is still deciding where to place it. @tomslink all of ther links have the same anchor text but the site originally had 350 other links.
With all due respect for your efforts AKDiver, I have to say that in my humble opinion the service is garbage. I bought a membership to try it out as I do a lot of seo and 20$ for 1000 links is good value. What I found is that the sites where the links get posted are "rubbish sites". By rubbish sites I mean that they are grey for pagerank, there are tons of links on those pages, most of the pages are buried way in the back with content that is many years old, crappy quality and these pages probably barely ever get spidered. Folks reading this, don't waste your time and money with this service. And here are some links from their service to prove my point: http://www.georgiaforobama.com/Articles.php?ctid=589456&artic=5894170991 http://www.bat-at-songbirdrealty.com/Articles.php?CID=583256&Art=583279840 http://www.business-article.net/index.php?CatID=28&ArtID=47942 http://www.bestprimarakeback.eu/Articles.php?category=595519&article=5955156987 http://www.myseolive.info/Articles.php?ctid=565420&article=565425330 http://www.tycoterrainiac.com/articles.php?ctid=518428&articid=518447100 http://www.metadon-sweden.com/Articles.php?categ=562928&AID=562944807 It doesn't take a seo expert to see that the quality is horrendous.
