I need some ideas to create some more sub domains to add value to my site which in terms to add some branding. My site is a education forum, home page is with phpbb3 forum and in sidebars i have linked to sub domains chat.mysite.com blog.mysite.com colleges.mysite.com (A colleges listing directory ) m.mysite.com (mobile version of my site) What you think i can add more to my site to add am thinking of having a video subdomain for education videos it that a good idea ? please suggest some more ideas so that i can extend my site like a portal. Thanks.
why do you want to add subdomains? You should only add the subdomains when you need the use of a domain. Dont just add the subdomains as empty fluff without content or a feature that is useless to your users
Looks like you have enough subdomains. Now just work on adding a lot high quality content to each subdomain and getting lots of links.
I've got to agree with not going sub domain crazy. Since you already have a forum (chat), maybe just EducationalResourses.yoursite.???. Then you could break it down into categories from there.
1. Research on https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal 2. Check how many search result for your targeted keywords 3. Compare and use your targeted keyword as subdomain
