Hey guys, Im about to sell an ebook online. One thing I don't understand is that if the consumer purchases the product can they get a refund ?
Some disgraceful customers might claim that they didnt receive the ebook and might file a charge back, try selling it through places like amazon.
You should be careful while selling digital products. Customer can file a dispute and can get refund as paypal do not support digital products sellers protection
Yes it is true. While selling any sort of digital product, there could be chance that the buyer charge back saying he/she didnt get the goods, so u have to be very cautious.
You're just going to have to honor Refunds. You will probably get people who just want a refund..just because they like getting free info.. which sucks, I know! But you might as well as refund them because they will get it anyway if they file a claim. ..unless.. They are stupid enough to post their intentions in paypal's claim section. I had a buyer ask for a refund literally 2 minutes after he got the item. So I posted it in the claim page on paypal stating something like "this buyer asked for refund as soon as he received it" then he posted back "Just refund my money, paypal is going to give it back to me anyway" A few days later, his refund request was denied by paypal, I guess they saw his intent! lol But 99% of the time, this is not the case and you will loose the claim. So just refund the purchase.

Yes they can ask for refund. By the way,you should use 3rd party service to minimise the risk such as clickbank.
As far as I know there is no chargeback for PAYPAL masspay, you can ask the buyer to send you money via masspay
I think anytime you send your product to customer , send a message to paypal let them know that good is sent . I bought some digital products and I always receive a message from paypal confirmed that seller send the good . So I think you can do the same .
