Searching in Google Is a Pain

Every time I search in Google I am asked to enter an image verification. It is such a pain. I have started using other search engines for the first time in four years. Will other searchers start doing the same and will we see a shift in Google's monopoly?

Are you retarded? You think just because of your own fault you can't search properly everyone is gonna switch to other SE? Google doesn't put captcha unless you have been using scripts or doing nasty searches.

I've never had to enter any image verification?

    What are you searching for?

that's due to your IP, Google think your computer is spamming it. This situation sometimes happened in my computer too.

I see it on occasion. Usually when I'm having to access it via a proxy (my local library has some seriously broken firewalls) or I;ve got utorrent running in the background.

if Google think your computer is spam/robot, they will add the verification before searching,
try to use proxy or ip changer, again, Google it for details.

I don't think I am retarded! I do not use scripts or spam. I do not have a dynamic IP. I simply run a website selling children's clothes. Therefore, none of my searches are "nasty" as they mainly relate to looking at how my competitors are listing under similar keywords ie children clothing related.

I notice that two other computers in my office are now doing the same thing. Two of my friend also reported the same problem from their computers. If I just though the problem was with my PC I wouldn't have made the posting.

It may not be your PC, but it is something that is happening on your IP that's the problem - someone or something is making a high number of automated searches. People who do a lot of searches see this occasionally - but if you're seeing it continually, the problem is at your end - most Google users don't ever see this. If you don't know of anything that is being used that's causing the problem, then you need to consider whether it's a virus or a hack.

How can I identify a hack? I know my website was offline due to someone hacking into the server system. Could this be the issue?

We have another Google hater in our midst.

BTW, which image verification you are talking about? There's no image verification needed to search. I guess your IP is blacklisted in Google's database.

Google often does this to IPs that have had a high amount of searches in a very short period of time. Likely with automated software. Certain IPs or proxy IPs often get blacklisted because someone on that IP or many people on that IP are using Google in a way they feel is threatening to Google's system.

The hack into your website could be the issue. A virus or malware could have been planted on your computer from it. You should check that out.
