Hi A PR Update can happen the this or next week . For the reason why Im suspecting this : I have posted this week the fact of a big drop on my Google traffic for site (A) see screenshots : Stats for Site A : I was not sure about if this drop was the same as one of my other sites (Site B) : which experienced the drop and rise on google traffic . and what it surprising when the trafficreturn to its normal stats : a PR update will follow after 3 - 4 days . just check the screenshots . Stats site B: So im thinking that the PR update can happen after the mentioned phenomene .... Lets wait and see Regards
Guess you've just missed the last PR Export on your analytics !!! As it seems your site B never had a drop at that period | dated at the end of may till the first June Have to say that this is just a theory and could not wrong
Wow! On an average you have got 17000 visitors per day on your site A. That's stupendous! Site A seems to be steady with the incoming traffic but the traffic at site B is erratic. Maybe that's the reason why there was a PR change. I don't know. It's all about luck and google at the end of the day.
I didnt forgot that .. note that my theory reside on the fact the a PR update happen after the Extrem Google traffic Drop and Rise. If this happen to a determinated site ( doesnt need to effect all sites ) a PR update follow . This is only a theory , it can be true or wrong..but it happened 2 time with my site B . I May 2009 non of my sites experienced such drop ..but it doesnt mean that all the sites of the world doesnt been affected from .
May i know about your website. It seems that you have got many visitors and nice observation. Lets see what happen next week hope for the best
Could be your way to wait for a PR export However, here is how I look at it: 1- Google updates PR all the time 'Internal PR' 2- PR Export is just a snapshot of the internal values And instep to expect when PR Export is around to start: 1- Backlinks should be updated which is happening more often now a days 2- Newly indexed website gets out of Google Sandbox in big batches 3- Sites ranking on high-med competitive keywords might increase/drop in SERP's 4- Google Toolbar get's an update and suddenly they release a new version 5- DMOZ / Google Directory PR get's updated and the listings images changes 6- Google export a snapshot of the PR to one or more of their Data Centers So you're theory is partially right, as the traffic drop could be related to SERP's changing but based on the site backlinking profile. You still can count month's and the latest PR Export date if you want to get a time range.. However, Google used to surprise webmasters all the time by updating even more often or way behind the schedule. Quick advice: Your site A is doing fairly well in Google so why would you focus on your PR ?? Maybe you should focus on conversion rates, and how to benefit out of such traffic
Thanks for the advice . but im not focusing on PR as the site A doenst have a Good PR rank . This is just an observation which I see on site B and happened to site A .
Yeah similar thing happening to my websites as well so we soon expect PR update wish you all good luck for it
Great found, and yes i believed that PR is going to update soon since the PR not being updated for more than 3 months
It's a good habit to make some analysis, but the exact time of pr update depends on Google. All of your analysis is no more than a prediction.
Well , your theory is interesting but i think google is upto change something big, because i don't see any change in my back link since 14 august and also i didn't see any big change in SE Ranking and traffic of my sites, yeah some times my sites drop Traffic But it happens just on Weekend , so i think so you can't guess next pr update just because of traffic status, Some times lot of people search same thing and some time just less, But i hope google update pr very soon, because my lot of site have very good ranking and backlinks but still its showing PR0 , i know pr isn't important but when i have green line on my sites, its always make me feel good, lol
Want another proof for google PR on the way? here is another one from my observation. Check out the PR of google.co.uk. It is usually PR9 I believe, but at the moment it is N/A. It was the status for the past 3 days. I too find the PRs of other few high PR sites as N/A too.
I recently had a huge traffic loss on a profitable site (lots of people have said similar things) ... I'm hoping it's all based on a big recalculation that will find its way back to normal soon as the PR update is done
