AdSense reports.

I installed AdSense on my website a few hours ago. And on the Reports tab my page impressions reached 7 within a minute or two (busy site with lots of helpful members), but ever since it has stuck on 7, despite the fact that the site has become twice the times busier since it was when I originally installed AdSense.

Any ideas of the reason for this? I know that I've had more than 7 clicks. More than 7 members have IMed me telling me that they helped out by clicking a few ads.

For that you will be banned very soon. And thread is also in wrong section. It goes in Adsense forum.

They were members of the site that clicked the ads, I didn't ask them to, I can be banned for that?

Hm.. it is really wierd if members told you that they clicked your ads. This isn't cool. How do you response when they said this to you?

I would ignore this if they would tell me.

So this means that they will click your ads very often. What then?

IMO you will be emailed by google for invalid clicks soon. It is for you, make something that this will finished. At least I would do that.

BTW, AdSense stats are with delay, not in real time.

Because you are new, I would like to tell you: DO NOT CLICK YOUR ADS OR ENCOURAGE YOUR VISITORS TO CLICK THEM.

THe CTR is better than 50%. This is too, too high. You may get a message from Google soon of invalid clicks.

It can be natural that people click on links when adsense is introduced to a website that gets traffic. However, if people messaged you saying they clicked to help out - then it is not natural clicks.

You should ensure the people who messaged you do not get you into trouble by requesting they stop clicking - who knows, they could have accounted for all of the clicks ... although other clicks may be natural, you run the risk of receiving a banned notification before you receive any payment.

google don't allow you to draw attention to ads, if you tell your members not to click, that is drawing attention to the ads:confused:

He may not have drew their attention to the adverts, but since he was messaged he should ensure they do not get him banned by clicking on the ads 'to help him out'

If people think by clicking on ads they are helping him, then that is wrong and they are actually harming him... and possibly leading to a ban.

The other course of action is to ban the people who messaged him ... ban their IP (or block the google ads for those people and display an alternative advert)
