How to get massive visitors

    I was wondering for effective ways to bring for a short period of time(1 month for example) a massive visitors to a forum. (targeted visitors)

    The only way is to pay for the traffic.

    Is your forum ready to send traffic to? It already has to look busy and active before you pile on the traffic. They're not going to join a dead forum and create it for you.

    get a few people to post. And maybe you could create a few accounts and post from them all waves start as a small ripple

    First the forum has to be live, use cheap forum posting services if you are busy. Next it is SEO/ SMO and other free methods of traffic generation. Paid options are PPC..
    Another effective method is to write popular controversial posts in your forum, this will attract traffic and also increase posts in your forum. This has worked in many forums and blogs.

    There's really no way to get a flood of targeted visitors without putting in the legwork (which always takes time) You can buy traffic but they won't register for the forum (which I assume is your goal)

    I would outsource:

    1)video marketing
    2)article marketing
    3)yahoo answers campaign
    4)mass social bookmarking

    And all of the other means of driving traffic
