First off a dormat goes outside your front door not in your account. :)
Second I don't think anything is less than $27, maybe $17. Good luck finding something that cheap. Lowest price on Clickbank is $3 though.

why buy something just to keep your account open? Just make a new one. obviously you are not making sales (either because you are not actively marketing or you need help to market). Unless you have money waiting to be disperssed just let it go.

I have recently been introduced to a great web site call cbanalytics. It allows you to sort all products or a category or a keyword list of products by gravity, price, and so on. Much much better than clickbank marketplace

CB has this wierd rule about dormat account. I mean charge $15 after a year of no activity? You might as well close the account rather than be in negative.

I'm pretty sure you don't go into the negative! Once all your funds have been depleted due to dormant account fees then there are no more fees after you hit $0 balance.

I gave you the smart idea in another post. Buy that $5 product and get back the amount lying in the account. Then close the account. That is wise strategy. You may not have to close the account even since it becomes active. I have lost many dollars like you in my earlier days.

They charge publishers if their account is not used or receiving any hops? Or they charge advertisers if their accounts are inactive for a period of time?

I'm promoting a $3 clickbank product. See my sig. The product was designed just for this this type of situation.

Clickbank slowly drains an account when it goes dormant. Many new affiliates have trouble getting past the initial "Customer Distribution Requirement" and end up abandoning their marketing efforts and their CB accounts.

Clickbank does this to prevent housing a bunch of inactive accounts. It's a way to keep their books clean.

I always thought it would be nice if CB returned the funds to the merchants from where the sales originated.

If you visit my blog, on the right sidebar is a short article (New to Internet Marketing?) that links to a free eBook. The free eBook talks about the $3 Clickbank item.

Try ewen chia's secret affiliate weapon. That used to be $4.99 - I think it's gone up to $9.99 now though so maybe not suitable for you?

Here's the (non-affiliate) link in case you need it

    http://www.secretaffiliateweapon.com/indexa.htm

Edit :- Just thought of something else as well - You could buy Mike Geary's or Sean Nalewanyj's fitness products. They have a $4.99 trial period. You can then cancel before you're charged any more.

Type in the marketplace "truth about abs" and "truth about muscle"
