I've just installed a fairly new (at least to me) comment system for my blog (slymarketing). The system is Disqus, and it took me about five minutes to download, install and import all my existing comments. The system is completely free. The reason I am now using disqus (other than that huge blogs like mashable is also using it), is that it's a lot easier to get more traffic because of the comments. People who sign up using disqus, will track all their comments using this system, and they will get notified when they have replies. And there is a great way to give a score to each comment you get. This way, the most popular comments will be at the top (and the authors of these comments will most likely get more traffic). People who'll comment can sign in using Facebook, Twitter and Yahoo (and other id's as well). I have just been experimenting with it for a few hours, but so far, I can see a lot of benefits. - jens -
