What do you know about google's indexing behavior? Do you think if two different websites with equal level and with equal level of seo you can rank them on predicted rank in serp? What is still to learn?
It really depends on rank for what, but as a general question, for a variety of reasons, no. Notably, where you rank depends what all the other sites are doing that are trying to rank for the similar or same within that behavior. Dave
I think its really very crucial area to have better knowledge. Its also necessary for securing future with seo and sem. My one site got dismissed (de-indexed) from google. Then after about 2 months its back. Nothing changed on my side. There must be some change on Google's side. That's what we need to know. How actually google reacts is very necessary... Knowledge can be built my experiments and sharing.
I agree! Difficult thing right now is Google is not "behaving" like Google says it is supposed to, so it's very difficult to count, or discount anything works or doesn't work as definitive to the way they react. Dave
That's supposed on google changing their methods in qualified search. I have been reading all the articles and the reports recently. I think that google is more often giving more exact answers to the meta keyword , In my suggestion , they are trying to rip off "Site spaming , Word Spamming , Qualifed Adsense results to qualifed sites". Its obvious that google team is releasing new official news on Google news. Quite interesting that "MSN , Yahoo" Have been doing a complex and diffrent strategy on the basis of the Search method.
allintitle:keyword allinanchor:keyword allinurl:keyword allintext:keyword and your ranking for the keyword are all related... While Google has definitely changed behavior in the last year, those four operators can help predict the rank of the page for the keyword/phrase. Your drop was probably due to deindexing of your site (allintext: ), or perhaps if you are dependent on a few links from pages that were deindexed, a drop in the allinanchor: results. Allinurl: is probably the weakest, you can still rank well without renaming your files keyword-phrase.html... but it does give a boost. This knowledge can be helpful in diagnosis of ranking problems for most sites.
Good points. Being better informed of how you compare to your peers can give you better insite in to your performance or lack thereof. Dave
