Had 2mil page views the first couple months, now slowly declining. Facebook PPC ads at our target market didnt work for squat. Now I just have to try and get some ideas for marketing, which admittedly I suck at..lol



Do you think its a good idea to have a product to sell FIRST to help spread the word of the website? Or wait till you have traffic to start promoting products?

 

Great website, really. 2 million pageviews the first months... that's sick! Oh, the page loads really slowly.

Where did you get the template?

 

we already had a big following from another website that the current editor-in-chief used to work for.

Problem is now... we are 98.5% direct traffic.

 

The home page/article template is the Streamline Revolution Wordpress template that I edited in dreamweaver.

The forum template is vBulletin "girltalk" template that I totally edited to our liking.

Try buying some backlinks to increase SEO visibility. Get some press releases written up.

--- problem is this niche seems extremely comeptitive as far as keywords/phrases are concerned.

Every time I check with all the SEO toolbars,Google keyword tools, I cant seem to find anything we can rank high in.

Doesnt even seem like the google adsense pays well per click that we have on the website.
