I have tried article marketing before but I never got a quick result out of it like PPC for instance. Now after reading a few things on here it seems like people like article marketing and it is making me think I should get back into it. Can anyone give me advice on article marketing and tell me the results they have had with it? Also any methods to make the task of writing articles easier and quicker! Thanks.
Main thing to article marketing I have found it research. Always research what keywords can make the best result for you and go from there. Don't forget to put that keyword in your title and throughout your article as well.
Article marketing is nothing like PPC as it's an investment rather than a quick fix.... that's really the best way to look at it. AM you're not expecting results right away but later down the road where PPC you are. Methods to make it easier / quicker: Outsource the content to a good content writer. Either get good at submitting the articles to directories or pay for a service like iSnare. Don't forget to link in your signature correctly (ie: keywords) and make it catchy.
i think article marketing is useful, but must give them time for Google index, not some instant traffic, is long term Google Natural traffic
Trust me I have tried it and well I would say it can work but you need to do a few things. 1: Outsource like say 20-100 or more articles PER DAY 2: Good Keyword Research or just write on every keyword(with a lot of articles per day this can be done easy) 3:Use a Opt In type page. Conversion rates are better this way. A regular Pre-sell or direct to the sales page style of promotion/linking will not convert as well or even as many times. 4:With the opt in you can sell related products. That is what makes opt in pages great. Some niches do not work good with a opt in and would be pointless. So just use a Pre-sell or direct to the sales page linking. With article marketing you pretty much need to go big by outsourcing or don't do it at all.
If you are referring to getting traffic, then, no, article marketing is bottom of the barrel. Just like Twitter, signatures, organic traffic.... The only exception is if you can get your articles carried on a weekly basis by big sites and or a slew of small sites (make it up in volume), and you are the only writer there on that subject. In other words...being a columnist for said sites. But what you are seeing is the norm. And what you have been reading that is making you change your mind are from noobs, the delusional (probably mentally handicapped), kids who get excited over nothing, postes who post shit just to be heard ("Hey, look at me!"), etc. There are a lot of them on this board. Getting a few visitors a day is not my definition of "works." It shouldn't be yours, either. However, you can make money with article marketing as an affiliate. But, and here's the catch...you have to write 10-20 articles a day, every day, and have a high or somewhat-high commish product to do it. You mentioned about how to write articles quicker. True writers do not do this. It can take an hour, several hours, in some cases up to a half a day to do the research and write one good article. 20 minutes to write an article from scratch will probably not get you anywhere. You can try it though, to see what happens. But, here's the good thing: Once it is written, you can use that four-star article over and over and over again. One tip I can give ya to see how the true writers do it (NOT the ones in article dumpers, like ezine.): Go to such sites as Yahoo, About, MSN, iVillage and other popular big sites that are picky on the kind of writers they choose, and study their articles. Scour through the magazines at the bookstore is another avenue. Also, study syndicated columnists' articles. You may have seen them in your paper. Do a search on their names. Do a search also on syndicated columnists. Go from there.
The article marketing techniques involve investigating what questions your potential clients will have. You need to know this in order to address their issues in your article. This helps you instill confidence in the person reading the article that you really know what you are talking about. It also helps give them a sense of what your business can do for you. Another thing you need to do in order to get people to read your articles is to write outrageous headlines. An outrageous headline does not have to be misguiding but it has to create buzz about your business.
Thanks guys, im looking into everything now. It might end up being a big project. But one thing I was wondering, if I do an affiliate product, how do i know which one will convert the best?? It seems like I need to know if the product will covert before I put in all this time and effort??
till u r getting good traffic and good money then u will like it. when u start loosing money and users u will dont like it . simple personally boreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for me
Great post, vcss15. Dumbass. There's a clickbank forum here, jbates01. Post that question there for more help.
I have only recently started writing articles, I not one for writing letters let alone an article, but since I started I do seem to be receiving a little more traffic, and as this is all I have been doing lately I can only assume this it where my traffic is coming from, maybe over time the more consistant I am the bigger my traffic flow will be come. Appreciate any input here am I on the right track? Thank you
Compared to promotion such as PPC,articles writing is not that quick.Since you can benefit much from PPC,why do you still want to try that way?Sometimes, doing well in one aspect may be wiser than trying in many aspects.
I agree with Steve, unfortunately, you're not gonna make any buzz! But, it's fine to let people that you consider your business seriously.
Article marketing is my bread & butter. But I don't get "quick results" with it. I use it mostly to build up good quality search rankings rather than for immediate direct traffic.
Artcle marketing is one of SEO method. And you must know that SEO is gonna take long..long..long.. time to be on top. So be patient
Articles can do well in little time if you can manage to publish them on big sites like readwriteweb.com etc. otherwise it may take a little longer but still valuable.
Article Marketing can work if you put some effort into it. You need to pick the right phrase or keyword to build your article around. Do your research via google or yahoo to see what key words you want to use. I would recommend using phrases that produce less than 300K. Once you distribute your articles, you will find it that new traffic will be generated towards your site. Maybe this is something you already know, but figured i throw it out there. Thanks.
I don't agree with that. I chose a two word prhase and wrote a few articles around this phrase. It has just under 800,000 results but my (test) articles are on the first page and this is with no backlinking.
