Looking for free traffic?

What are your favorite ways of getting free traffic and how would you rate it?

I will start:

1. Article Marketing - Long term, highly targeted traffic

2. Forum Marketing - Fun way of marketing, targeted, good for short term extra traffic.

3. Social networking - Facebook groups and status updates are good sources of short term traffic

4. Videos - Takes a lot of time creating, but good in the long run

5. Social Bookmarking - WIth openwire it is easy to submit and good for short bursts of traffic

6. Classifieds - USfreeads, Gumtree and graigslist are favorites if your classifieds copywriting is good.

Well, hundreds more, but I thought I would rate those first... How about you all?

 

number 1 probably fit for all niches. for the rest I would say whatever can reach targeted audience.

 

Signatures on forums are also free and can be used to get traffic !

I personally like buying ads and banners on blogs & forums. They do quite well.

 

I think I will have to get back into article marketing. I never liked it because it took so long to write and I didn't get to see the results straight away like PPC for instance.

 

I think you missed Search engines....

How do you go about finding the forums for this? Just search for the topic and forum and go from there?

 

I didn't know banners are still working. Where do you go to buy these links?

 

you can get free traffic about 100 - 150 visits from stubleupon, but if you run adsense in your wed that is not good idea.

article marketing is still the best....

 

I personally like Article Marketing. It helps bring good traffic to your site and it also helps increase your ranking in search results.

For links in Article, use the Resource Box or Author Bio. Some directories, however, do allow a link in Article Body.

 

I Think social networking is not good for me other wise other all are good way to bring traffic

 

Social networking doesn't do any good to me.I'm trying article marketing now lets see whats in store for me.But I use signature on forums for backlinks and not for traffic.Haven't tried others yet.

 

My favorite way is social marketing.

 

Depends on what I'm promoting. A certain way of marketing will work better then another, depending on the niche you're currently working on.

 

article marketing is one of best but ahhh.. require lot of time to create one article...

 

Video submitting to youtube is good for adult sites.

 

They do quite well if the adsense or affiliate sales are larger than the banner fee.

 

Buying ads like banner and link impressions work good but need investment. Submit your site to directories, and work on SEO stuff!
