PR5 Soccer Website, $2k A Week Profit, #1 in Google

Hi there,

I run a PR5 soccer website based around the hot "live online football streams" niche. It currently ranks at #1 in Google for TWO of it's main search terms and is top 5 and top 10 for numerous other related search terms.

The website is approximately 18 months old and has been at the top of Google almost since its inception. I have an email database of almost 5,000 active customers (there have been more, but some opt out of receiving email updates). These customers have all paid a one off fee to join the service and are not on recurring subscriptions - a low one-time fee attracts a higher rate of customers.

During the UK football season, the website makes up to £1,000 ($2,000) profit a week after payment processor fees and there are no advertising fees to pay due it's dominance in Google.

By the end of May 2007 - when the football season finishes, I expect the website to have made approximately £40,000 ($75,000) in profit from site sales alone, with further (minimal) income from Adsense - $21 July, $242 June (World Cup month)...

I am not willing to sell this website cheaply because it truly is the reigning champion in it's field and I will not entertain offers of less than £25,000 ($47,000). This is because I can make more than that over the next 10 months and I am not prepared to sell myself short.

If you are curious as to why I would want to sell such a profitable site, the reason is I am involved in other projects, namely a gambling one and would like to raise funds for advertising etc - this football website is my most saleable asset.

Serious buyers can enjoy a website that:

1. Makes up to £1,000 a week during the UK football season

2. Has a customer database over almost 5,000 you can market to.

Amilo, my website has been around far longer than the one you write about - it's not even on the first page of Google for the main search terms compared to mine which dominates, so please don't post nonsense like "your site will die because of them" - they are nothing in this industry, despite what they claim to be.

Monthly page views is very low. Without listening to revenue fluff, I can say it's worth no more than $3,000. How that little traffic converts to amazing large sum of cash is mysterious to me.

Brandnewx, don't be ridiculous - I have made $3,000 in the past 10 days alone in sales since the new football season began.

I agree the traffic stats aren't "massive", but it's a highly targetted niche in which people are keen to pay a small, one-off fee. Adsense income is low because people who visit the website buy, rather than click on an ad to "get out of there".

Bobby, July was a quiet month comparitively since there was no football to speak of after the World Cup final, I cannot create a similar screenshot to what is attached for August as it is the Paypal monthly report which is unavailable since we are still in August. I could take a few sample screenshots of transactions if that would be useful?

Can you give me some more info please.

What country are the servers located ?
Is the site on its own server ?
Are you showing skysports games ?
What is the bandwith like,is it unmetered ?
Are you buffering the feeds then uploading to your server ?
Have you had any C+D notices sent to you ?

As it says on my website I don't host any matches myself. I merely sell a list of links where streams are available, so the answer to all your questions are "No".

Not sure what your agenda is, but what you have just quoted is stated clearly on the website in question anyway.

"Just Sells Links" or not, it is worth £1,000 a week to me and if I am to sell it, I want a realistic price. Do you run the other stream site quoted earlier on this thread and are trying to run me down???
