another possibility is, if you´re using mozilla, to install seo add-on (I don´t remember the name of it right now, but you can google it in a minute) and you´ll have it instantly and directly in your browser
Go to yahoo.com and type in the search field - link:http://www.yourdomain.com You can do this for google.com too ... but google intentionally does not show all backlinks. If you have a good webmasters account then you can see them that way.
Google's webmaster tools is not always accurate and up to date. You will get better results by using links:www . your-site . com in google.

Here are some of the tools that checks for back links: http://www.backlinkwatch.com/ http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker Code (markup):
i think the best way to check backlinks is using Google's link: command. just go to Google.com and type "link:domain.com". replace domain.com with your url of course. although it wont show you all the links to your site its a good way to tell if a site has 'good backlinks'. IMHO, google only shows all the links that he thinks valuable to your site.
This one http://seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/ is very good, but for some reason it's not working for me today. It does a very good job shows more backlinks than most others.
Try using Yahoo Site Explorer. Just do a link:yoursite.com query on Yahoo search and it will redirect you the YSE...
Its the back links according to google. It didn't shows real no.s, you know no one knows google criteria.
Can I also check the back links for other web pages? I am pretty new in this industry and really don`t now much about.
Search with "yourdomain url" in mozilla brouser you will see your back links in googledotcom. Same can be repeated with yahoo.
