    What do you all think, is it better to have a niche directory or a general directory?

    I own a home/construction related site, I decided to buy some DB's from the oddity place and make a directory. I have over 1,000,000 listings! Do you think this was a good idea or a waste of time?

    hmm a home contruction site sounds like targeted traffic. Why not make a directory of related stuff rather than trying to be DMOZ ;)

    Myspace found a niche though, it started out as a music promotion site, they didn't copy Friendser, they went for a niche.
