Just got it installed about an hour ago (took more work to backup than I expected). Check out my review so far on the installation process if you want!
Yeah. If you study at any microsoft certified establishment you get things dirt cheap. Tbh im suprised he has to pay for it at all actually... Ive got every version of Windows + Server + SQL Server from my training place for free because they are registered with microsoft. Infact if you are a student at all you can pick up most software products for cheap as chips. Including things like macromedia products like photoshop etc. My girlfriends dad worked at the the local university, and he just got one of his students to go buy the very latest photoshop for something like 20 bucks.
It is a super OS that microsoft has released in market.. I mean the best OS from microsoft till date..as it improves system performance but remember..you should have minimum 1GB RAM
Just got the final release today, through the Microsoft partner program. Thankfully they fixed up an FTP bug that was present in RC0. We were supplied 10 licences of Pro and a single license for ultimate. So, far two of the work computers have been upgraded from Vista!
Company. We are part of the MAPS (Microsoft Action Pack Subsriber) program. It is excellent value. We get quarterly updates for most new products.
Price is good and nothing to lose in terms of performance. I think anyone should go with professional or ultimate edition instead of basic or starter editions.

Hope it gets better reviews than vista. I usually wait until it has been out for a while, and they have some service pack out first. I like to give them time to work out the kinks or bugs in the early stages. Although they have been beta testing for a while now.
Incorrect. It would be a pain if you had to get admin approval everytime you wanted to play solitare wouldn't it.
windows 7 is the best OS... i am using the Rc version,, and found no problem yet... it's final release will capture the market,,, faster than vista..
