This is my field, I've spent the last 8 years trying to turn it into a garden.

You guys are making me miss "home"....

I grew up on 15 acres of forest with a 4 acre lake right in the middle. Used to go fishing 4-5 times a week during the summer! We had 40-50 chickens.. a german sheppard, and 2 very hot twin girls for next door neighbors. :)

Humidity is a killer for some people with medical problems - unfortunately my mom was one of those people. So we headed for the dry heat (desert) .

There are some pluses to living in the desert though. Haven't seen one of these crawling around in the hall since I moved  :

Yeah. I grew up where I had almost 10 acres to run free and frollock. Now I am living in the "big city" and I absolutely hate it! Dumb IT industry and following the cities. Oh well, By the time it is all done and gone [my life], I refuse to be anywhere else but the countryside (regardless of any situation).

    :(

I was looking at pictures of Slovenia. Looks like a beautiful and quiet place.
I always wanted to leave these busy streets. How's life like there?

Well Slovenia is quite good to live... very peaceful ... crime is low... good roads...beautiful rivers, standard of living is higher than in some other EU countries like Portugal, Spain, Greece etc.... and prices of houses on the countryside is very low. Where I live we have many english people who decided to live in Slovenia and more are coming ;)

    OK, I'm weirded out...

A New Luxurious House With Stile is 210 square meters and is selling for 459,022 Euros?

    210 (square meters) = 2,260.42119 square feet
    459,022 Euros = 586,308.801 U.S. dollars

In Parker, Colorado you can buy a 4,100 square foot house for $370k.

My dreams of relocating aren't looking good.

That's $536,466, but the square footage of the house is conspicuously absent.

And it's only on 2.47105381 acres. In Colorado, you can get a house and 5 acres for $526,466.

But I am being depressing. Unless you want to move to Colorado? :D

At least that is how english come and do ;) I had an english couple couple of days ago asking if someone is selling house in my village :D

http://www.halodom.com/en/ I found some houses there and what this company offers usually english people buy... they of course make it all new and shiny after they buy it. Those are all old houses unmantained mostly but you would be surprised what they do with them.....and they are very good neighbours ;)

We're going to be travelling again once my wife's project finishes up in July.

She wants to visit England, I want to visit Poland and Greece. We're going to stop by and see Expertu in Romania. We both want to see St. Petersburg. Slovenia will probably be in the trop too. :)
