Quick Hand Needed-Publish Component to homepage

Hi, I am a bit vexed as to how to do something with Joomla. I have to use this stuff about once a year.

Ok, I am essentially trying to publish the root(if you will) of a component on the home page of joomla.

I am using a component that parses a shareasale feed that creates a store like catalog basically.

For instance, the feed spits out upper level categories here currently http://www.sportsfanshopping.com/test/component/cmsshopbuilder/category/1-sports-store


What I need to do is publish that on the home page in the left module position and remove the menu module so the categories appear on the left.

In the center I will have to place some copy since the feed has no category images nor can I put any products there apparently.

So product list is on the left and I need to publish some home page copy in the center so it looks more like a storefront.

Any help would be wildy appreciative.

hope that makes sense. I have frankly about had it with this stuff lol..

I may be open to paying someone if they are quite certain they can do this. However, it should only take about 5 minutes unless my logic is completely flawed.

Are you required to buy this script before it actually works the way it is suppose to ? I tried a few links from the pages you gave me.... they worked well.

I would activate the index page in the same way you activated the test page - probably with the column on the left that allows you to choose the menu selection.

Of course I saw that, I put it there. I am talking about what goes on in http://www.sportsfanshopping.com/test as per the thread above. Not only am I not able to find a joomla dude that can follow whatever instructions, I can't find someone who can read the post.

Do I really need to put a bounty on 8 minutes of work? It frankly does not surprise me. Now perhaps folks will understand why I bag on joomla. Its a convoluted mess.
