Each week google comes out with a new innovative feature/product that makes an impact in some or other way to people around the world. Just review the new things they have come up with in the last 2 years and one wonders what these guys are upto. They are buying any company that they think would be profitable for them in the future. If they go one like this, the day is not far when they might just rule the world.
we cant really predict that for sure yeah they may and they may not.. because what if there'll be conflicts between owner larry page and sergey ( srry i duno how to spell) then google might crush
I think they won't be "evil" by sacrificing their ideals for short-term financial gain. They will keep in mind the interest of their shareholders and people all around the world.
I'd bank on Microsoft ruling more than Google ruling. Dr. DOS, Lotus 1-2-3, Netscape, Apple, and other left in their wake are lesser competitors than Google but Microsoft will find a way to out do Google in the long run.
Consider this... Suppose google makes a OS and start giving it free to people over the internet, will not that completely wipe out microsoft. They have already started a spreadsheet software, more may follow. Firefox is being actively promoted by google. What is microsoft left with?
Q. Google ruling the world? A. No way. they never would Q. Google ruling the world of internet A. Maybe....If they keep me well paid, i will let them survive.
I think there are many chances of it to "rule" the internet world. They are already very important in all areas and since they have the power they'll surely know how to use it.
Every product/feature that Google releases continues to amaze me. It's scary to think of what they'd achieve in 10 years time! I personally think it wouldn't be a bad thing if Google ruled the world.
Right. They are becoming a giant. The only problem is, you can't grow "to" fast, because it seems that everytime this happens they fall flat on their face. Microsoft has taken a long time to grow and become #1.
People will still need hardware and MS has contracts to require vendors to use Windows if they want to get a steep discount on Windows. Also, they make a lot of money from Office and still do while free products are out there like OpenOffice. As far as OS goes, Linux hasn't hurt Windows desktop business much. I'd also add that Google has a few great products like search and Adwords/Adsense but not many others have fared as well. I like Google's mapping API's but they don't seem to be any better than Yahoo's and other free mapping solutions. I like GMail a little better than HotMail but Hotmail does do a few things better than GMail still.
They allredy rule the NET And i hope they will "distro the evil" aka Microsux becouse they ruined Os Market Linux is good but Microsoft monopoly strategy kept them to be not a worthy adversire if google enters this game with theyer money and popularity and there aliances i am sure they will be a pain in the a** for mircrosux
I disbelieve that google rules the net, Remeber the days where there wasnt IE there was Netscape its something like this. They are growing well but this doesnt mean they are #1. They are good in adv but not good in search engine module. They provide alot of oppurtunities to us but still they are lack "in my suggestion" in searching results.
Google i believe is a top & hard competitor for all companies including the big giant Microsoft. But i also believe that Google will never for sure be able to take over the over as i see it, though i can say that microsoft may lol I still know hell of peoples who don't know what Google is or how it exists but those people do know Who microsoft is Google can make new technologies but can't control the world as it is being support by that world, Google is not the first among others who has made hi-fi technologies think of Albert-Einstine....lol He was a genius but was he able to take over the world lol. This is just a rumor that is going around and i don't think it will be anything more then that But i just want google running to pay me , not to take over me
Microsoft is trying to kill Google, even more so recently with Google stepping into the "software" game. We'll see it goes...
