Hello everyone, I use paypal for money transfers and i face this issue about the fees. If am getting paid then some amount is reduced from the actual amount that i was to recieve and its in the paypal fees. This happens when the person paying uses credit card. Its fine when the transfer is huge but really bad in case of small amount. Is there any way this can be avoided or the person paying pays the fees? Help me in it. Thanks
The only way to avoid Paypal fees are to have the sender send the money as a gift and they pay the fees. Any merchant service is going to charge you a per transaction fee (usually 30 to 50 cents) plus a percentage. Paypal just happens to be the biggest hog of all of them. Thats why most brick and mortar merchants insist on a minimum charge to use a credit card.
Thanks for this information mate. So can i ask the buyer to pay me as a gift? Is there any harm if i receive it or he/she pays as a gift?
Ohh so there is a chance of getting the account limited. Well may be then its a dangerous act to perform. Will look for some other alternatives. Thanks
Yes, when you pay to a paypal account, you need not pay the fee, but the receiver pays. If you send as gift, you need to pay the fee. and you can not stop the payment and you can not claim any refund. just send and forget. If you send through money bookers, the receiver pays the fees. You do not.
Sending as a gift and someone still needs to pay? thats bad. means there is no way to avoid paypal fees? and as i provide services, its me who has to suffer and pay the fees.
well, paypal has mass-payments max fee is $1 a transaction i heard? you can choose to have to have yourself or buyer pay it. paypal isn't the biggest hog, i'd use alertpay but for credit cards its 5% !
Max $1??? well that would be great then but many times i have been charged way more than that. Can you tell in detail about this mass payment option?
yes max fee is 1$ is it huge. and i suggest you if possible, send the payment in pieces, if the receiver is reliable. no problem if pay 2-3$ as mass pay fee. I think so.
The sender will pay he fees if send the money as gifts???Who says?? I tried..There is no fees...You can try it..
well if this is the case then its superb.. How many times can you recieve money as gift?? is there any harm in it as someone mentioned it may led to limitation of account.
I do sometime use personal payment to pay other's thing or service. I hope my paypal account would not be limited by this.
Thanks mate. Well then this can be done once every 10 payments i guess. M i right?? Will it be safe then? Mate i guess PAypal is really safe and good to receive payments all over the globe.
Well was there something funny in it?? And its fine, i'll ask the buyer to pay with mass pay. This is really useful. Thanks
