i am going to start SEO for a website first time , how many directory submission are sufficient for this and can any body provide me a fresh list of directories. my web site is http://www.ebizontek.com/
I prefer $10 for directory submission and at times I even get 500 submission for that price. Search DP and you can also find the same.
i think only some directory submission is best not waste your time for submitting to directories only about good content and submit your site to all search engines it can help you to improve page rank very few people used diretories only search engines can increase your traffis
I think you should focus on quality of directory. Any way there is no limit for directory submission. You can try to submit maximum directory.
There are 1000's of directories out there, take your time and chose wisely, but for the most part there is no limit, just depends how much time you have on your hands.
I always been asked the same question from my client, actually I got no correct or wrong answer for this type of question. It was some variable that everyone can choose to believe which amount is good for their website. You can decide on short and long term backlink development. Directories is one of the way to get a backlink for a long term, and there are a lot of way to increase our backlink. As long as we got some time or money to spend on this, it's ok for us to submit more than what other people suggested to us.
The more the better. I would start by submitting to ALL of the free directories, and then pick a few of the paid directories to list your site in. Start with the directories that have the highest pagerank and then work your way down.
I think directory submissions, in general, suck. There are a small handful worth posting to, but then you are better off writing some content and submitting it to ezinearticles than just about anything else.
Not really true, actually VERY wrong. Especially directory links can be easily determined from search engines, what you might have meant to say is that: the more links the better, but they have to be natural links (or at least look as such) if you want to have a quality score for your site and have decent rankings. You can easily start with lets say 100 directory submissions (or even 500-1000) if you can also manage to get something like 2-3 times more natural links (that will be from sites/pages that are content-related to your site) pointing to your site.
As many as you can, some of them won't get approved, others will take weeks or months to be approved. Don't spend too much time submitting to directories, the link juice isn't worth that much.
