Actually that's a list of the oldest dot coms names. Others existed before those. (The MSN article mentioned in the link you provide mentions that.)

Just like $5k. I knew if I got it for that then I would be able to sell it for a 1,000% ROI easy :D

I have a domaining buddy who owns on of these bad boys. And no, do not ask. I'm obviously not allowed to share. But I am serious :)

Actually the list is for the 100 oldest *.com domains. Others are not included on that list. (I think that got mentioned further up in the thread.)

    Do you own Advertise.com?

    ----------------------

Thanks for sharing OP. That is a great List. I wish I had known about domains even 5 yrs ago lol... Frank Schilling started only in 2005 and has over 300,000 domains that generate over $20 millions USD/yr rev and his expenses are only 10-20% of that and the rest is all profits. Most of them are type in traffic domains.. Dr, Kevin ham also started only like 5 yrs ago I think and owns over 350,000 domains and has revenue over $70 millions USD/yr. Now that is Domaining. But I am sure there are people who started around the same time are doing pretty good even with way less domains but of course real good ones.

Today I was driving back from work and I passed by two places less than 2 miles apart from each other, where I saw the same sign "Halloween Shop" and I got to thinking man only if that was possible with .com or .net... Too bad once they are gone you can't have them unless you already have deep pockets.. Now owning Halloweenshop.com would have been fun. Not much to do except to put up the site like this guy/gal whoever owns it. He has built a page with nothing but Affiliate Links to BuyCostume.com and I am sure that domains brings in hefty affiliate commissions.
