content is a must for internet marketing, google likes text, unique text pages are very good for your seo campaign. But i think that sometimes you can offer a product and drive ppc trafic to it and you wont need as much content as seo would need.
Do you mean you have NO content on your site and you're making money? are you direct linking? The 'proper' way (according to google) is to create a site and user experience that everyone enjoys! The proper way according to my bank account is to cash in as much as possible.
Try making your own digital info product or software, with its own affiliate program. Then you can make content for your site in the form of blog posts and such, get some free traffic from search engines, and then sell your visitors your own products. Yes, as they say, "Content is King."

Content is very important. And great content is better. Well written articles on good niches with keywords through out is very good for SEO. Search engine optimization.

You need content, in most circumstances. If you have a list of emails - you need a good newsletter written to SELL the product to that list. Content is King, after all.
Assuming you're trying to attract people to a website on which you can sell an affiliate product - then yes, I think you'd need content, esp. of SEO is important to you. But you CAN sell affiliate products without a website at all - in an email list, for example, or by using video.

Only way with no content is PPC if you want some results. SEO traffic without content just dont work, even with mile long keyword tails.
