Not to mention I am currently working on a new website design so I wont have these problems that long. I have a company building the design to my specs professionally but it will be a few weeks before its done and up.

No offense, but you aren't going to get very far making posts begging people to do the work for you.

If you have some specific questions - that's cool, we'll be glad to help. You need to do some serious reading/research if you're going to be successful over the long term.

Unless there is something you DON'T want search engines to find, the robots.txt file is pretty much useless IMO. I often don't even use one.

You should probably always use one even if you are just approving all Search engines to see all pages. Google expects a well made site to have one, best not to disappoint.

Typically there is not a lot to hide. Some like to block particular search engine because of the amount of bandwidth they consume, however those engines don't normally pay attention to the robots.txt file.

I add any sections of my site that are password protected. It's not a bad idea to add folders that hold your site backgrounds and other images like that. Most people allow images used in articles and such because that can bring traffic to your site.

In short, if you don't know a reason to block then its best to just allow it
